Why this isn't a job for a general trade
The film itself is only half the product. The other half is the fit: every panel measured against your stone, cut by hand on the day, and trimmed at the edges precisely enough that guests can't find where it starts. Gloss film has to sit on polished stone without changing the mirror. Satin has to sit on honed stone without adding shine.
It looks simple, and it isn't. The difference between invisible and obvious lives entirely at the edges, which is why this work stays with specialists.
The checklist to run before you book anyone, including us
The film class. Cheaper films are known to yellow. Ask whether the film is a non-yellowing class, and whether that's covered in the warranty rather than just the brochure.
The warranty, in writing, before you pay. Ask what's actually covered and what's excluded. Ours runs 12 months and covers yellowing, cracking, blistering, delamination and adhesion failure, with the exclusions shown up front.
Hand-cut, or close enough. Ask how the film is fitted. Panels should be measured against your surface and trimmed by hand to its exact shape, cutouts and all.
A fixed quote. The number should be itemised, fixed, and stay fixed when the installer walks in the door.
Repairability. If one hard-working section wears, ask whether that panel can be replaced on its own. It should be a yes.
